BENGALURU: It has been almost a month since the new Congress dispensation came to power, but the government is still engaged in rolling out its five guarantees and undoing the work of the previous BJP government, be it revision of textbooks, repeal of the anti-conversion and APMC laws.
On the other hand, while citizens are venting their ire over the stipulations imposed by the government to avail the five guarantees and claiming that it is not paying attention to solving their problems. In the meanwhile, some ministers have been stoking controversies with their statements.
The Congress high command seems to be upset with the turn of events and has reportedly taken the state leadership to task with a firm message to run the government efficiently by looking into other issues too while paying attention to the implementation of the guarantees.
The high command is also believed to be sore with the statements of some ministers, which, it feels, may lead to controversies. The Delhi leadership has warned the state leaders to be careful as the Lok Sabha election next near and instructed themto focus on solving drinking water problems in the districts and to pay attention to development issues first.
The Congress high command and central leaders have suggested not to worry too much about fulfilling the guarantees as people have trusted the schemes announced. They should be delivered to eligible people effectively, but precious time should not be lost in implementing guarantees only was the word.
