CM Shivakumar directs police to identify and block brokers’ entry to Vidhana Soudha

BENGALURU: Chief Minister D K Shivakumar seems determined to put an end to the menace of brokers and lobbyists in the corridors of the Vidhana Soudha. It is reliably learnt that the CM has directed DG&IGP and also the IGP of Intelligence wing to identify brokers and stop their entry to Vidhana Soudha and the CM’s office.

Following the CM’s instruction, Intelligence Department has directed Vidhana Soudha police to identify brokers and preparations are being made to increase security to prevent lobbyists from entering the CM’s office premises.

It is said that the CM himself has given instructions in this regard to the DGP and the IGP of the Intelligence Department. “The menace of brokers around Vidhana Soudha and my office has increased and needs to be curtailed”, he is believed to have told the senior police officers.

It is said that the CM’s calculation is that this will set back his plan to give a clean image government. It is being said that instructions have been given to identify brokers coming to Vidhana Soudha and to stop their entry to Vidhana Soudha and the CM’s office.

Following the CM’s instruction, the Vidhana Soudha police have made preparations to increase security around the CM’s office to prevent brokers from entering the CM’s office premises.
