CM Bommai pays tribute to martrys on Police Commemoration Day

BENGALURU: The Police Commemoration Day was observed at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Grounds in Chamarajpet on Friday to remember the sacrifices of policemen who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Home Minister Araga Jnanendra paid tribute by placing wreaths at the police martyr’s memorial.

“Repressive forces have risen, and there is a need for the police to be vigilant. Police officers need modern training and lifestyles to stay healthy and fit. The police play an important role in maintaining law and order in society. Sometimes, police personnel cannot even give time to their family members while they protect the law and order in society,” said CM Basavaraj Bommai.

Police Commemoration Day was observed at the CAR Ground in Chamarajpet.

“Karnataka is ahead than other states in providing better facilities for the police force. The construction of police stations has increased in the last year. The government plans to bring more schemes and reforms for police personnel, like increasing the number of jails, and we are always with the government personnel”, he added.
