CM offers puja to Chamundeshwari idol

MYSURU: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai offered prayers to the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari, which is taken in procession, atop Chamundi Hills at 9.15 am.

The idol was later brought in a procession to the Ambavilas Palace. This was started from last year. Earlier, the idol would be brought to the palace in a vehicle. The CM also interacted with traders atop the hills.

CM Basavaraj Bommai offered prayers to the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari and also interacted with the traders at Chamundi Hills.

Crowds overflow at Mysuru Palace

The Dasara celebrations, which were held on a grand scale after a gap of two years due to the pandemic, saw huge crowds gather to witness the procession. Though arrangements had been made to seat 25,000 people in the palace premises, the crowd was overflowing.

CM offers puja to Nandi Dhwaja

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai arrived in an Airavat bus along with his cabinet colleagues S T Somashekar, V Sunil Kumar, B C Patil and offered puja to the Nandi Dhwaja.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was gifted a panchaloha portrait of his father and former Chief Minister S R Bommai when he arrived for the Nandi Dhwaja puja.
The portrait, created by artist Yogi, took one month to complete.
