CM directs officials to take steps to curb dengue spread

BENGALURU: With dengue spreading across the state, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said he has directed officials ofthe departments concerned to take necessary action to curb the spread of the disease.

The CM said the number of dengue cases had crossed over 7,000 in the last few days in the state of which more than 4,000 cases were reported from Bengaluru itself. He said he held discussions with the officials and directed them to take suitable measures to contain the spread of dengue.

He also advised citizens to give importance to cleanliness around their houses and to ensure there is no stagnant water. People should be careful about mosquito bites, he added.
