Cases filed against MLA Narayanaswamy, MP Muniswamy after scuffle during Janata Darshan

KOLAR: Cases have been registered against MLA Narayanaswamy and MP S Muniswamy after they got into a scuffle during the district level Janata Darshan programme organised on September 25 in the district.

An FIR was registered against Kolar MP Muniswamy on a complaint filed by Bangarapet MLA S N Narayanaswamy while another case was registered against Narayanaswamy himself based on a complaint filed by BJP Yuva Morcha district president Balaji.c

During the Janata Darshan programme, Muniswamy was sitting next to minister Byrathi Suresh. At this time, he pointed out to the minister that Bangarapet MLA S N Narayanaswamy was conducting Janata Darshan with all land grabbers sitting side by side.

Enraged by this, the MLA shouted at the MP and used abusive language, leading to a scuffle. Kolar SP Narayan intervened and brought the situation under control by taking Muniswamy out of the programme. A tense atmosphere prevailed on the dias for some time.

After the incident, MLA Narayanaswamy filed a complaint with the police claiming that Muniswami insulted and threatened him.

Earlier, another FIR had been registered against Muniswamy in connection with forest department clearance at Srinivasapur police station.

Meanwhile, Muniswamy himself had filed a complaint against S N Narayanaswamy and Superintendent of Police Narayan with Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on September 27.
