MANDYA: A car driver was burnt alive after the vehicle collided with a tipper truck and caught fire near Palahalli in Srirangapatna taluk late on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Chandrashekar.
The Toyota Innova MUV, driven by Chandrashekar, collided head-on with a tipper truck, resulting in a fire that engulfed both vehicles.
Chandrashekhar was travelling from Hunsur when the accident occurred. Both vehicles were completely gutted.
The tipper driver managed to escape with minor injuries, but Chandrashekhar was trapped inside the car and died in the fire. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. A case has been registered at the Srirangapatna Town police station.
