DAVANAGERE: A BMW car and 66 kg of silverware worth Rs 39 lakh, belonging to late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor’s family was seized at the Hebbal toll in the taluk by election officials.
The silverware was being transported in the car without any valid documents during the checkes by election officials led by tahsildar Dr Ashwath.
The tahsildar confirmed that the car and the silver belong to Sridevi-Boney Kapoor’s family, but added that none of the family members were travelling in the car at that time. A case has been registered at the Davanagere Rural police station and the car and silverware have been impounded, he added.
