CHIKKABALAPUR: Passengers of a private bus had a lucky escape after it leaned dangerously into flowing water while crossing a flooded road close to Kottnur village near Chilamattur in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The bus was plying on the Bagepalli-Hindupur route.
Locals helped the bus passengers get off the bus through the driver’s door any further untoward incident.
Following heavy rain in Karnataka, much water has been flowing into Andhra Pradesh from lakes, tanks and rivers. The Kottnur lake too is overflowing and the water had submerged the road. Despite this, several vehicle users are plying through the flooded road, ignoring the danger.
