Bus driver arrested for killing another over parking row in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A bus driver was arrested for murdering another man for parking the bus at the same stop where he parked every day, at Sunkadakatte on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Venkataswamy, and the accused has been identified as Venkatesh.

On January 13, the Kamakshipalya police found an unidentified body near Sagar Plywood store. Initially, the police believed it was a natural death and informed his family members. Though no injury marks were found on his body, the post-mortem report concluded that he had been murdered.

Venkataswamy was killed by Venkatesh (right) on January 13.

The police started an investigation and checked footage from more than 150 CCTV cameras. The police questioned Venkatesh, and he confessed that he had killed Venkataswamy. He had fought with Venkataswamy over parking the bus at the same spot and he broke the glass of the bus with a stone. He came inside the bus and fought with him again. He murdered him, dumped his body near Sunkadakatte and had escaped.
