HASSAN: A 16-year-old boy died after a coconut bunch from a coconut tree fell on him at B Cholenahalli in Channarayapatna taluk. The deceased was identified as Prajwal.
A coconut bunch suddenly fell on Prajwal while he was collecting coconuts around the tree that had fallen due to heavy rain and wind. The seriously injured boy breathed his last on the way to a hospital.
Ravi and Anasuya of Uttenahalli village on the outskirts of Shravanabelagola lived with their son Prajwal at a farm house in B Cholenahalli village. Prajwal used to do some small work before going to college every day.
Prajwal was studying in the first-year at the Government Pre-University College at Shravanabelagola. A case has been registered at the Shravanabelagola police station.
