Budget reflects PM Modi’s vision for ‘Viksit Bharat’: Chikkaballapur MP Sudkahar

NEW DELHI: The Union Budget clearly reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Viksit Bharat where farmers prosper, the poor lead a life of dignity, the middle class get the due for their hardwork and Indian enterprise gets a boost, said Chikkaballapur BJP MP Dr K Sudhakar.

Reacting to the Union Budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on Tuesday, the MP said, “It has laid out a clear roadmap to build on the momentum gained in last 10 years.This is truly a budget of hope and empowerment. This is a Viksit Bharat Budget and not a ‘Vote Bank’ Budget. PM Modi as always has put national interest before poltical interest”.

Further, he said, “This budget gives new wings to the aspirations of the poor, farmers and the middle class and will empower all sections of society. Nine priority areas for Budget FY24-25 — productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skilling, inclusive HR development and social justice, manufacturing & services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation R&D and next-gen reforms are realistic and futuristic”.

Employment, skilling and agriculture have received a big push in Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s record seventh Budget. Five schemes aimed at skilling and employment will target 4.1 crore youth over the next 5 years with a budgetary allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore will immensely benefit the youth, Sudhakar noted.

Bengaluru-Hyderabad Expressway and Economic Corridor

“The expansion of Bengaluru-Hyderbad Highway to a 12-lane expressway will boost economy in the region and will specifically benefit my Constituency Chikkaballpaur. When I had recently met Union Minister Nitin Gadkariji and requested to take up this project, he immediately agreed and promised take it up soon. I thank Gadkariji for announcement of budget allocation for this project in the budget”, Sudhakar added.
