Bride escapes with lover night before wedding in Gauribidanur

Relatives of the bride gathered at the Gauribidanur Rural police station.

CHIKKABALLAPUR: Close on the heels of an incident where a bride pretended to feel dizzy just before the wedding rituals in Mysuru, a bride escaped from a wedding hall Vidurashwatha village in Gauribidanur taluk of Chikkaballapur district.

Shockingly, the girl participated in some rituals last evening, and in the dead of the night, escaped with her lover. Vennala, the bride, is a resident of Nagareddy Layout in Gauribidanur. Her marriage was fixed with Suresh of Karekal village and the wedding ceremony was to be conducted at the Chennarayaswamy wedding hall in Vidurashwatha. After the pre-wedding rituals, Vennala eloped with her lover and uncle Praveen in the night.

 

Relatives of the bride have now lodged a complaint with the police and are keeping their fingers crossed, hoping that she will return home.
