Bodies of Bidar residents who died in UP highway crash to arrive today

Shivani succumbed to her injuries on Sunday night, taking the death toll in the UP accident to eight.

BIDAR: The bodies of those from Bidar who did in a road accident at Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, are expected to reach here from Lucknow around 4 pm today.

Meanwhile, the death toll increased to eight with one more person, identified as Shivani, succumbing to her injuries last night.

On Sunday, seven people from Bidar had died after the mini bus they were travelling in collided with a truck on the Kheri highway. They were on their way to Ayodhya.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai spoke to his UP counterpart Yogi Adityanath yesterday evening regarding arrangements to bring the bodies back home and the treatment of those injured.

The bodies will be shifted from Lucknow around 1 pm by air and arrive at Hyderabad. From there, they will be brought by ambulance to the native village Sultanpur where the last rites will be conducted.
