BENGALURU: The countdown to the New Year celebrations has begun. In view of the crowd expected to gather at MG Road, Brigade Road and Richmond Road, BMTC will operate additional buses from the night of December 31 to 2 am on January 1 from MG Road to various parts of the city. BMTC has taken this step for the convenience of people participating in the New Year celebrations.

Additionally, buses will also operate from major bus stands and junctions where there is a lot of traffic. BMTC said that buses will be arranged from Kempegowda Bus Stand, KR Market, Shivajinagar, Koramangala, Kadugodi, Kengeri, Sumanahalli, Goraguntepalya, Yeshwantpur, Yelahanka, Shanthinagar, Banashankari, Hebbal and Central Silk Boards depending on passenger traffic.
