BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is all set to deliver a shock to its Volvo commuters in the New Year.
The transport utility, which had reduced fares during the Covid-19 pandemic, has planned to increase the rates for the daily and monthly passes.
The monthly pass, which is presently Rs 1,500 (Rs 1,428 + GST of Rs 72) will be revised to Rs 1,800 (Rs 1714.29 + GST of Rs 85.71). The daily pass, which is currently Rs 100 (Rs 95 + GSR of Rs 5) will be increased to Rs 120 (Rs 114.29 + GST of Rs 5.21).
