BMTC driver who complained about irregularities placed under suspension

BENGALURU: A bus driver with the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) who had sought action against wrongdoings in the corporation and complained to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Facebook, has now been placed under suspension.

Driver Tyagaraj had complained to BMTC managing director G Satyavathi, along with documents, alleging scores of illegalities in the corporation. However, no action was taken on his complaints and instead, a notice was issued to him.

Tyagaraju then wrote about the entire episode to the governor, Transport Secretary Dr N V Srinivas and Labour Commissioner Akram Pasha. Following, his actions, the BMTC has now placed him under suspension.
