HASSAN: A sambar, blinded in both eyes due to injury has been loitering in an open patch of land, unable to return to the forest, near Mallagadde village in Sakleshpur taluk.
The injured sambar has camped outside the village over the last four days and is unable to find water or food. Blinded in both eyes, the animal has not been able to return to the forest.
Locals, who shot a video of the sambar struggling, have appealed to the authorities concerned to shift the animal and provide necessary treatment.
