BENGALURU: After the PayCM poster campaign to highlight allegations about the alleged 40 per cent commission in government works, the Congress has resorted to blackening of BJP posters defacing them in several parts of the city.

The BJP has put up posters in many parts of the city to highlight the government’s works. However, some miscreants have defaced and blackened the posters, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, BJP national president JP Nadda and state president Nalin Kumar Kateel’s faces, at Majestic and near Mantri Square mall under Gandhinagar Assembly constituency, with scribbles of 40%.

Similarly, posters have been blackened and even burnt in BTM Layout. Both constituencies are represented by Congress MLAs.

“We won’t be cowed down by this goondagiri. We are BJP workers and we have the courage to face those who are doing this. They shouldn’t employ hit-and-run tactics, if they have the courage, let them come and face us. The Congress should be ashamed of what they are doing”, said local BJP leaders.

Angry BJP wokers have blamed the Congress.

“If the Congress continues with defacing our party posters, the consequences will not be good. Let them take their achievement to the people and we will take ours. The voters will decide”, they stressed.
