BJP MLA Dr C N Ashwath Narayana and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar engaged in a war of words on Monday.

BENGALURU: After some BBMP contractors levelled the 15 per cent commission charge against the present government, the opposition BJP is preparing to go all guns blazing against the Congress.

The party is now working to collect documents and present a memorandum to the governor and also lodge a complaint with the Lokayukta. With this, the party plans to tighten the noose around the Congress.

While the party is planning to take up protest after Independence Day, it is also preparing for a legal battle. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, on the other hand, has already declared that he will retire from politics if the allegations against him are proved.

The latest charge of 15 per cent commission comes on the back of JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy alleging largescale corruption in transfer of officials. He had alleged that the Congress is collecting ‘YST’. This was followed by BJP’s ‘ATM’ charge and the PayCS campaign against Agriculture Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy.
