VIJAYAPURA: Vijayapura BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has targeted his own party alleging that the previouos government had misappropriated Rs 40,000 crore during the pandemic. Giving an example, he said masks worth Rs 45 each were purchased for Rs 485 apiece.
“I also got Covid. They also charged me a total of Rs 5.80 lakh at that time. Legislators too get only salaries and I paid my bill with my own money. How is it that the then government took advantage of it?” hequestioned.
Launching a tirade, Yatnal said the BJP looted crores during Covid. “Who did they promote during Corona? There was irregularity in buying beds. Thieves are thieves”, he claimed. “If I speak the truth, there will be fear. Let them expel me from the party or issue a notice. I will reveal everything about the BJP”, Yatnal challenged.
