BJP lines up star campaigners, central leaders to campaign in Karnataka

BENGALURU: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had announced that it will deploy 40 star campaigners to campaign in poll-bound Karnataka including Amit Shah, J P Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath and so on. While some of the BJP leaders have already marked their presence in different parts of the state, a bevy of central leaders will descend on Karnataka as the campaigning gains more pace, with state leaders in tow.

The BJP will hold a two-day campaign blitz across the state including public meetings, roadshows, press conferences, house-to-house visit in all the 224 constituencies. The participation of Central leaders is expected to boost the party morale of party workers to take the battle right into the opposition camp.

The star campaigners include Amit Shah, J P Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath, Smriti Irani, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nirmala Sitaraman, Mansukh L Mandaviya, Devendra Fadnavis among others. Apart from this, another 98 Central leaders, Union ministers and 150 state leaders will also participate. The BJP’s aggressive campaigning will continue till May 8 and the election is scheduled on May 10.
