BJP activists distributed Hanuman flags in the village on Saturday.

MANDYA: Close on the heels of the Hanuman flag controversy at Keragodu village in the district, the BJP on Saturday launched a campaign to distribute saffron flags to every house in the village.

The campaign is to protest the pulling down of the Hanuman flag from a flagpost in the village and to demand that it be flown again on the same flagpost.

The saffron flags were first placed at the Hanuman temple where prayers were offered. They were then distributed to the villagers who put up the flags on their houses and conducted puja.

The campaign was launched by BJP district president Dr Indresh and the party plans to take the campaign across the district.
