BENGALURU: The ‘Mysuru Chalo’ padayatra of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) organised over the alleged MUDA site allotment and Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation scams, entered the second day on Sunday.

BJP state president and MLA B Y Vijayendra criticised the Congress government in the state for ‘looting money’ and said that CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar are offering donations (kappakanike) to the Gandhi family.

He alleged that the ruling party, which should answer the opposition’s questions about the welfare of the Scheduled Castes, Tribes and the poor, is instead posing counter-questions to the opposition.

The state BJP president also criticized Siddaramaiah, saying that he has come to power in the name of the development of Scheduled Castes Tribes and backward classes, but after coming to power, his government has looted the funds allocated for their development.

He also mentioned the scam in the Valmiki Corporation and demanded the Chief Minister to answer the allegations.

Vijayendra, taking a dig at DK Shivakumar, said that he is speaking without any limitation due to power and said that he should answer the people of the state.

He also mentioned that the Toyota factory in Bidadi, which is currently closed, is also likely to go out of the state, and new industries are not coming to the state, resulting in unemployment for the youth.

He alleged that development work is not happening in the state due to the government’s arrogant behavior and said that Congress leaders are involved in corruption.
