BENGALURU: The BJP state unit held a a core committee meeting at the party’s state office on Monday to discuss various issues. The core committee met for the first time after the Assembly election.
The party decided to hold its protest against the government on August 28 instead of August 23 as earlier planned. The meeting also discussed the present political situation, the Cauvery water issue, upcoming elections among other.
BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Central Parliamentary Board member and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, former Chief Ministers Basavaraj Bommai and D V Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, and former BJP National General Secretary C T Ravi were the prominent names present in the meeting.
Former ministers Govinda Karajol, K S Eshwarappa, R Ashoka, Dr C N Ashwathanarayan, B Sriramulu, state vice -president Nirmal Kumar Surana, state organizing general secretary Rajesh G V also participated in the high-level core committee meeting held at the party office ‘Jagannath Bhavan’ here. (ANI)
