Bhatkal jamats offer to fly back voters ahead of polling on May 7

KARWAR: Ahead of the voting for 14 Lok Sabha seats in central and North Karnataka on May 7, jamats in Bhatkal are offering air tickets to voters based in Gulf countries to fly back and cast their votes.

There are 1,250 voters from Bhatkal in the Gulf and the jamats are offering two-way tickets with the aim of increasing voting and to elect ‘secular leaders’.

The jamats have already made the announcement in Saudi Arabia and have requested their members to avail the opportunity and cast their votes.
