CHIKKABALLAPUR: A first-year BCom student at the Seshadripuram College was crushed to death after the scooter she was riding pillion on was knocked down by a speeding tipper here on Friday.
Chaitra and Likith, a student of MES College, had been the to Srinivas Sagar reservoir and were returning to Bengaluru. When they entered the highway, a speeding tipper knocked them down and crushed Chaitra.
Likith sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The Chikkaballapur traffic police have seized the truck and registered a case.
