BENGALURU: A family from Bengaluru, who had gone to Dubai to celebrate their daughter’s birthday, is stuck in Abu Dhabi due to the ongoing conflict. Sunita, a professor at a private college in Bengaluru, has appealed to the government to evacuate them.

Sunita and her husband Kiran had gone to Dubai to celebrate their daughter’s birthday and had even taken a photo in front of the Burj Khalifa. They had booked their return tickets to Bengaluru for Saturday, but the military operation in Abu Dhabi has left them stranded.

“We are very scared. We were at the airport the whole day, and then the authorities shifted us to a hotel. We are still scared. We request the Indian government and the state government to evacuate us as soon as possible,” Sunita said. The family is currently taking shelter in a hotel, fearing the war-like situation.
