Bengaluru police chief orders probe after complaints against inspectors from lower ranks

BENGALURU: Following of complaints from the lower ranks against police inspectors, City Police Commissioner B Dayananda has ordered an internal probe. The probe will be conducted by Additional Police Commissioner (West) Satish Kumar.

The personnel posted at the Ramamurthy Nagar and Sadashiva Nagar police stations had made several allegations against the respective police inspectors. A three-page unsigned letter said the Sadashiva Nagar police inspector also illtreats personnel who hail from north Karnataka.

Taking the issue seriously, the police commissioner has order an inquiry. If there is truth in the allegations, senior officers are likely to initiate action against the erring officials, sources said.
