Bengaluru police arrest man wanted in 25 theft cases; three others absconding

BENGALURU: The city police have arrested a man wanted for house break-in and theft cases in different police station limits, who had stolen from various districts, including Bengaluru.

The accused Raghu alias Pepsi, a resident of Talaghattapura, was involved in 25 theft cases. The police have seized gold jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh and two bikes from him. Raghu, along with his associates Mubarak alias Babu, Nagaraj, and Murugan, were stealing two-wheelers, brass items and gold and silver ornaments. The other three are, however, absconding.

The group was involved in five cases in Talaghattapura, three cases in Hanumantanagar, two cases in Yeshawantpur, Chamarajpet, Banashankari, Kumaraswamy Layout, and one case each in Puttenahalli,  Hassan Extension Station, Tumakuru, Jayanagar, Halasur, Bannnerghatta, Kengeri, Subramanyapura and Basavanagudi stations.

The police are now on the lookout for the other accused.
