BENGALURU: The managing director of Samanvay Healthcare, Raghavendra Shastry, was conferred with the Presidential Resilience medal by the Singapore government on Monday in recognition of his work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the pandemic, Raghavendra Shastry, a Bengalurean, had supported the medical fraternity and healthcare support of all hospitals with supply of fruits, hot snacks, bevarages on a daily basis for over two months apart from medical research in promoting immunity by usage of various natural ingredients such as ginger, curcumin with various oil extracts which was a major solution and support in ensuring high immunity.

Shastry said that during the Covid pandemic, he thought it was a good time to support the medical fraternity and healthcare workers for their hard work during the pandemic. “I asked myself, if not now, then when?” said Shastry.

Parliamentary secretary for Culture, Community and Youth, Eric Chua, said the efforts are “truly commendable”.
