BENGALURU: Superstar Rajanikanth’s wife Latha appeared before the 1st ACMM Court of Bengaluru on Tuesday which had ordered her to attend the court by January 6, 2024. Accordingly, Latha personally attended the court along with her lawyer.

Since Latha’s case was a non-bailable one, the court had asked her to make a personal appearance. In addition, Latha’s lawyer had requested to grant bail. Judge Anand Karimammanavar allowed the petition and granted conditional bail while directing Latha to furnish two personal bonds.

The case is related to the film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, directed by their daughter Soundarya, and a case was registered under IPC Section 463 against Latha. An agreement had been signed between two companies regarding the release of ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ and Latha had given surety on behalf of Media One Company.

A complaint was filed as Latha failed to bear the loss of the movie. An FIR was registered on May 30, 2015 at the Halasuru Gate police station after the film incurred losses. The court had ordered her to appear in person while hearing the bail plea.
