MYSURU: Fifteen people were arrested after a Garuda police patrol vehicle was stoned during a group clash at BM Sri Nagar in Metagalli police limits on Friday night.

A fight had broken out between the son of John Peter and the son of Hussain, both residents of the locality, over a trivial issue. When Hussain arrived at the spot, John Peter allegedly assaulted him. Following this, Hussain and about 15 of his family members barged into Peter’s house.

The Garuda patrol squads arrived at the scene and rounded up Hussain and few others. Angered by this, some youths pelted one of the patrol vehicles with stones, breaking its windshield. The police immediately managed to disperse the crowd.
