Belagavi police arrest three more in KPTCL junior assistant recruitment scam

BELAGAVI: The Belagavi police have arrested three more people in the KPTCL recruitment test scam for junior assistants. The arrested have been identified as Akshay Bhandari of Arabhavi village in Mudalagi taluk, Basavaraj Dundanatti of Biranagaddi village and Sridhar Lakkappa of Rajapura village.

Akshay has been accused of bringing electronic devices from Bengaluru and handing it over to the kingpin of the scam, Sanju Bhandari. The police have recovered a mobile phone, 50 chips embedded in cards and 18 modified devices from him.

Basavaraj Dundanatti is accused of giving out the answers to the candidates during the recruitment test. His mobile phone and motorcycle have been seized. The other arrested Sridhar is alleged to have distributed the electronic devices to the candidates. His phone too has been seized.
