Beer sales up by 30 pc in Karnataka amid summer heat

BENGALURU: With the searing temperature, beer sales have increased in the state with demand rising by 30 per cent. Due to summer, there is higher demand for beer in both urban and rural areas.

After March, beer sales have increased along with the rise in temperature. Last year, between April 1 and 18, 21.77 lakh cases of beer were sold. This year during the same period, 28.35 lakh cases of beer were sold. This is an additional sale of 6.58 lakh cases of beer.

From April 1 to April 18, 2025, beer worth Rs 463.42 crore was sold while for the corresponding period this year, beer worth Rs 568.59 crore was sold. Compared to last year, beer sales increased by Rs 105.17 crore this year.
