BENGALURU: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) had almost completed the villa residential housing project in the name of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, which, it says, is in high demand. The project site is located on about 23 and 27 acres of land in Hunnigere and Alur, respectively, in Yelahanka. While minor works are going on, it will be fully completed by April, the BDA says.
Puneeth Rajkumar had promised the BDA that he will that he will be the brand ambassador to promote the two villa projects. Now, the government has approved naming of the villa projects after Puneeth Rajkumar, as proposed by the BDA board.
Yelahanka MLA and BDA chairman S R Vishwanath, briefing about the flats and villas, said the final cost will be decided in the board meeting. There are 170 four-BHK villas and 150 three-BHK houses in Alur. “There is high demand for the villas as most people like independent houses. Inquiries are already coming in and the BDA will allot numbers for every houses. After that interested buyers can select the choice of their villas online”, he said.
“There is a club house, lawn, swimming pool and each villa will have two vehicle parking slots. Single bedroom houses are also available at very reasonable prices. It will be distributed by end of April. There will be no specific criteria to buy a house, but government will take a final call on it. The estimated cost of the villas will be between Rs 70 lakh and Rs 1 crore”.
The BDA had started work on the project in 2017. The complex is located between Tumakuru Road and Magadi road. Prospective buyers can visit the site via Kadabagere, Baiyandahalli, Kattanahalli routes.
