BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to create another major lung space like Lalbagh and Cubbon Park on 150 acres near Yelahanka. This is being initiated under the Brand Bengaluru project.
The forest wing of the BBMP has already prepared a blueprint and is in the process of identifying land for the purpose which will have different varieties of trees and medicinal plants, officials said.
The new park will be different from Cubbon Park and Lalbagh and the proposal has already been sent to Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar who is in charge of Bengaluru development. Once it is approved, the BBMP will start work on establishing the new park, the officials added.
