BBMP issues notice to Pattanagere shed owner to pay property tax in 15 days

BENGALURU: The Pattanagere shed came under spotlight after the kidnapping and murder case of Renukaswamy who hailed from Chitradurga. Following the murder in which actor Darshan, his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda and others have been named accused, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued a notice to Pattanagere shed owner to pay up the property tax dues.

The Assistant Revenue officers in Kengeri Sub Zone has now issued a notice that property tax has not been paid since 2008-09.

The officials have instructed the property owner to declare the ownership details and pay tax within 15 days of receiving the notice. The property owner has also been warned that legal action will be taken if tax is not paid within 15 days.

Darshan and his associates kidnapped Renukaswamy from Chitradurga and brought him to Bengaluru after the latter allegedly sent obscene messages to his girlfriend, Pavithra Gowda. Later, Renukaswamy was taken to the Pattagere shed in RR Nagar where he was tortured and killed.
