BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) have engaged in a blame game, accusing each other of not covering up potholes in the city.

“We have given BWSSB a deadline to stop the leakage, and after their work, we will fix the spot. We have discussed the issue in a meeting with BWSSB officials to resolve everything and complete the work. Orally, we have given them a deadline to fill the potholes within four days. They have decided to use clamped joints to stop the leakage. We are working with KPTCL and BESCOM to avoid traffic problems for the public”, said BBMP Chief Engineer Prahlad.

“The BBMP is responsible for filling the potholes, and in many places in the city. The BWSSB has already started with their work. They are not responsible for filling the potholes. We are doing our work. We have not received any instructions from the BBMP to fill the potholes”, said BWSSB Chief Engineer Suresh.
