The residents of Balaji Krupa layout claimed that they will  boycott voting over non-supply of Cauvery water.

In the layout, there are more than 400 houses and of those,  Cauvery water connection has been provided for 350 houses. The residents pay water bills every month even if they do not get water properly. They have appealed to the authorities concerned for many years, but no one has responded to their problems. Hence, they have decided to boycott voting in the upcoming elections.

“We have faced water issues ever since we moved here five years ago. When we ask the authorities, they do not respond properly and say that they have informed their higher-ups. We pay our bills regularly, but still we are forced to buy water from tankers”, said Shakuntala, a resident of Balaji Krupa Layout.
