BENGALURU: Bad roads in the city have claimed another life after a scooterist was run over by a tractor on Monday morning.
Kumar (35), a resident of Marappanapalya, was trying to overtake a tractor carrying mud, on a bad stretch of road when his scooter skidded and he came under the wheel of the tractor trailer and died on the spot as the wheel had crushed his head.
The tractor driver, however, fled from the spot along with the vehicle. The road had been dug up and had not been relaid properly. The Malleswaram traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the tractor driver.
