BENGALURU: Late businessman and former MP from Chittoor, D K Audikesavulu Naidu’s grandson Adi, who was recently in news for trying to run a car over a dog, has now been accused of assaulting a security guard at an apartment complex for not giving him a matchbox to light up a cigarette.
Adi repotedly asked security guard Prakash at Raja Prakruti Apartment, for a matchbox to light a cigarette. When the security guard said he didn’t have a lighter or matchbox, Adi got angry and assaulted the security guard. Not just the assault, he is also accused of rashly driving a car in the parking lot.
The security guard has filed a complaint with Siddapura police station regarding the incident, but they have only registered an non-cognizable report (NCR). Hence, a complaint has been filed with the DCP asking to register an FIR.
Late Audikesavulu Naidu was a real estate businessman and former TTD chairman. There are several cases against the Adikeshavulu family.
Case 1-2019: Suspicious death of Audikeshavulu’s close aide Raghunath
Raghunath was a businessman doing real estate business in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. His body was found hanging in a guest house belonging to Audikeshavulu. The HAL police registered it as a suicide case and filed a B-report.
In 2020, the deceased Raghunath’s wife Manjula filed a complaint suspecting it was not suicide, but murder. As police did not accept the complaint, she filed a private complaint in court. The High Court heard it and ordered a CID investigation.
In the CBI investigation, destruction of evidence came to light. It was found that government seals and stamps were forged through criminal conspiracy. It was alleged that the accused transferred the deceased Raghunath’s property to their names using fake power of attorney. It was alleged that they portrayed the murder as suicide.
CBI arrested Audikeshavulu’s son Srinivas and daughter Kalpaja in the case. The case is still pending in court.
Case 2-May 2025: Assault case at Bengaluru Shangri-La Hotel against Audikesavulu’s grandson Geetha Vishnu.
A case was registered at High Grounds Police Station and the allegation that Geetha Vishnu assaulted a person named Syed. Geetha Vishnu also filed a counter-complaint.
Case 3- 2017: SUV accident and escape from police custody case.
In 2017, Geetha Vishnu hit another vehicle and a BBMP signboard with his SUV, injuring six people including two children. In this regard, Geetha Vishnu was also arrested. While taking treatment for minor injuries at Mallya Hospital, he escaped from custody with the help of hospital staff.
Case 4-January 26, 2022: Adikeshavulu’s grandson Adi’s dog case.
Adi allegedly ran over a street dog named Lara with his Audi car and killed it. A case was registered on January 26, 2022 at Siddapura Police Station.
Case 5- 2026: Recently, Adi tried to run over another dog with a car. In this regard, another case has been registered at Siddapura Police Station.
Now, Adi has assaulted a security guard. Siddapura police have registered only an NCR instead of filing a case.
