ANEKAL: At least two people are in critical condition and 20 others suffered minor injuries after a passenger bus rolled off a road on a tank bund as the driver loss control at Bidaraguppe in Anekal on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Saturday. The incident took place on the Attibele-Sarjapur main road in Anekal taluk.
The private bus was carrying about 50 devotees from Chikka Bellandur to the Om Shakti (Adhiparasakthi) temple at Melmaruvathur in Tamil Nadu. The bus suddenly veered off and rolled down when the bus driver lost control. Locals helped shift the injured passengers to hospital immediately.
On the right side of the road on the lake bund is a water body and a major accident was averted as the bus fell to the left side into open land. The Attibele police visited the place and registered a case.
