GAGAD: A day after three fans of actor Yash were electrocuted while erecting a huge cutout, another fan, who had met with an accident while following the actor’s car, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Nikhil Gowda (22), a resident of Binkadakatti, was following Yash’s car on his scooter when the latter was proceeding to meet the families of the electrocution victims, when he crashed into a police vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He was shifted to a private hospital in Gadag where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.
Nikhil was a final-year engineering student at Agadi Engineering College and had come to Gadag to see the actor who was on his way to Suranagi village in Lakshmeshwar taluk. He crashed into a police vehicle near GIMS hospital and sustained serious injuries. He succumbed to the injuries on Tuesday. He was to celebrate his birthday tomorrow.
The body was shifted to GIMS hospital for post-mortem examination and later handed over to the family for the last rites.
