BENGALURU: The Health Department has made it mandatory to have trees on the premises of all government health facilities in the state. These include district and taluk hospitals, primary health centres and others.

A notification said plants and trees should be planted on premises of health facilities to counter the ill effects of climate change on people and will facilitate clean air for patients.

The notification also said that the sapling plantation drive should be completed by July and that all plants and trees should be maintained properly.
