BJP workers have started a postcard campaign against Shobha Karandlaje.

CHIKKAMAGALUR: Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Shobha Karandlaje, seems to be facing opposition in her own constituency from her own party cadre.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Udupi-Chikkamagalur constituency have started a postcard campaign and are writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party national president J P Nadda and state president B Y Vijayendra to give Shobha Karandlaje a ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Hundreds of party workers have written letters from across Chikkamagalur district. The main charge of the BJP workers is that Shobha has not developed the constituency despite representing it for two terms.

In the last Lok Sabha election too, she had to face slogans of ‘Go Back Shobha’. The BJP workers are now demanding that the party ticket be given to a more deserving candidate this time.
