A committee may be formed to fix the criteria for awarding internal marks and ensure that the marks are not misused. The Education department is likely introduce a new system for awarding internal marks, which could include a set of guidelines or criteria that schools must follow.
The department is also expected to consider introducing penalties for schools that do not follow the guidelines. It is likely to release the new guidelines for internal marks by December. The proposed changes aim to ensure that internal marks are awarded fairly and consistently across schools, and that students are not unfairly disadvantaged.
