RAICHUR: Popular Sandalwood actor and director Upendra and actress-politician Tara Anuradha, along with their families, visited the Raghavendra Swami Math at Mantralaya and offered special pujas. Both met the math head Subhudendra Theertha Swami and sought his blessings.
Upendra, his wife Priyanka and children offered special prayers and participated in the Rajata Gajavahanotsava by pulling the chariot to fulfill a vow. Tara, her husband Venu and their family offered prayers at the math, visited the Manchalamma Devi temple and also the Brindavan. Both families were separately blessed by the math head.
Meanwhile, special prayers were held at the math for the safety of our soldiers and civilians in view of the tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor. The special pujas, including Mrutyunjaya homa, Ayushya homa and Markandeya homa were led by Subhudendra Swami himself.
The seer announced that no celebrations will be held at the math in view of the prevailing tensions and that only customary and essential rituals will be conducted.
