BENGALURU: A woman has accused that a junior actor of cheating her after promising her roles in movies and sexually assaulted her. The accused is absconding even since an FIR was registered against him at the Jnanabharati police station.
The woman is working as a beautician and has been living in the city in 2014. As per her complaint, the accused Santosh has done minor roles in Kannada and Tamil movies, and he offered her a chance in a movie. He also allegedly cheated her by promising to marry her and sexually exploited her.
Though the victim maintained distance from him after being cheated, he would come to her house and harass her. He assaulted her many times on the roads and forced her to go to his house also. She lodged her first complaint at the Jnanabharati police station, but they did not take any action against him. Instead of arresting the accused, she said the police simply dragged the issue without securing justice for her and six months have elapsed, she said.
The woman filed another complaint against him at the Jnanabharati police station on February 15. Santosh, who had promised to marry her went to her house on February 14 and when she didn’t come out, threatened that he would circulate their private photos and videos on social media and also show them to her parents.
The victim has also accused him of having a relationship with another woman and having a child with her. The case was transferred to Attibele based on the place of occurrence of the the crime.
