MANGALURU: Snehamayi Krishna, a social activist from Mysuru, has accused Vittala Gowda, the uncle of the late Sowjanya, of committing the murder. He has lodged a complaint to the Superintendent of Police of Dakshina Kannada, Dr Arun Kumar.

Snehamayi Krishna alleged that Vittala Gowda had an evil eye on Sowjanya and had been trying to harass her for a long time. When she refused, he allegedly raped and murdered her. He has demanded that the SP conduct an investigation based on circumstantial evidence and also conduct a narco test on Vittala Gowda.

He also claimed that Kusumavati did not go to see Sowjanya’s body. “Santosh Rao may have been used for this act. He has been gathering information about this for a long time”, he said. Snehamayi Krishna suspected that Vittala Gowda might have used Santosh Rao to commit the crime. He demanded a thorough reinvestigation and punishment for the accused.
